A goniophotometer of type C may be used in order to measure LED flood lights in a manner that is compliant with the standards that have been set by the CIE LM (International Commission on Illumination - Photometry). The CIE LM standards provide guidelines for the measurement of the light output of LED flood lights and other kinds of light sources. These standards were developed by the CIE. Because of these criteria, it will be possible to make reliable comparisons between the different light sources in terms of their overall performance.
