IESNA-63 goniophotometer LED light measurement

Image
IESNA-63 is a standard that was released by the Illuminating Engineering Society of North America (IESNA) and it describes the technique for testing the photometric performance of LED lighting products using a goniophotometer. The standard is used extensively within the goniometer lighting industry for the purpose of evaluating the performance of LED lighting products with regard to the distribution, intensity, and homogeneity of the light produced by the goods. A goniophotometer is a device that is used to measure the light distribution of a light source by measuring the intensity of the light emitted at different angles. This is accomplished by measuring the light with the use of a device called a goniophotometer. In the instance of IESNA-63, the measurements are collected at various angles along the vertical and horizontal axis, and the findings are used to compute the average and maximum intensity of the light, as well as the uniformity of the light distribution.
