How to measure light intensity?

Image
The intensity of a light source, or its output, is evaluated in architectural lighting to see whether it is suitable for a certain task. For many different uses and kinds of spaces, the lighting industry has set guidelines for optimal illumination. In order to determine whether or not a given area has sufficient illumination, an appreciation of light intensity is vital. Metric to measure light intensity The illuminance metric is used to determine how bright a certain area is. It is the lumens (light) that hit a surface and is measured in footcandles (fc) or lux (lux) (over any given square foot or square meter). Therefore, the intensity of a light is quantified not in candlepower but in lumens per square foot or meter (lux). It is possible to determine whether or not there is enough lighting for a certain visual job by measuring the quantity of light striking a given surface. What meter should be used to measure light intensity? A light meter (or illuminance meter or lux meter
