LED solar light test with an integrating sphere
LED solar lights are light fixtures that are powered by solar panels and are used for outdoor lighting applications such as garden lighting, street lighting, and security lighting. Other common outdoor lighting applications include flood lighting and parking lot illumination. When testing LED solar lights using an integrating sphere, one must measure the optical qualities of the light generated by the LED. Some of these features are the luminous flux, color temperature, and chromaticity of the light. In order for the integrating sphere to perform its function, the light that is produced by the LED must be gathered, diffused, and then directed toward a photodetector. The light is first changed into an electrical signal by the photodetector, which may then be analyzed to identify the luminous flux as well as other optical characteristics of the light. Because it provides a method that is both highly accurate and reliable for measuring the light output of the LED, the integrating sp
