Photometric lumen test for LED spot light with LISUN integrating sphere
The quantity of luminous flux (lumens) that is produced by an LED spot light may be evaluated with the use of a kind of measurement that is referred to as a photometric lumen test. An instrument called a photometer, which is sometimes referred to as a luminometer, is used in the process of carrying out the examination.
This piece of equipment
measures the amount of light that is emitted by the LED light and evaluates it
in comparison to the output of a more traditional source of lighting. In the
majority of instances, the photometer consists of a detector that is either a
photodiode or a photomultiplier tube. This detector measures light. This
detector is in charge of collecting the light that is produced by the LED spot
light and transforming it into an electrical signal. Its responsibilities
include these two tasks. After that, the signal is examined, and the results of
that processing are used to calculate the luminous flux that is being emitted
by the LED light.
Afterwards, the LED light
is turned off. An extra component known as an integrating sphere might be added
to the photometer in order to collect light from the LED light and distribute
it evenly over the surface of the photodiode or photomultiplier tube. This
contributes to ensuring that the readings generated by the photometer are
accurate.
