LED lamps need to do EMC and EMI test according to the international standards

LED lamps are, in fact, electronic devices; as such, they need to be put through Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) and Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) testing in accordance with the international standards to ensure that they are safe to use and will not interfere with other electronic devices in a way that could be potentially hazardous to the user. This is done to ensure that LED lamps are safe to use and will not pose a risk to the user. These guidelines, which may be thought of as a form of electromagnetic energy budget, regulate not only the amount of electromagnetic energy that an LED light is permitted to emit, but also the degree of immunity to electromagnetic interference that an LED lamp is supposed to have.


LED light bulb manufacturers may guarantee that their goods are safe to use and adhere to the relevant standards and criteria by putting them through electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) and electromagnetic interference (EMI) testing.
